Finding Pole Dance and Confidence
Eleonora began her pole dance journey in early 2022, thanks to a little encouragement from her friend Sarah. During the pandemic, Sarah worked out at home, and Eleonora, eager to stay active, joined in on those sessions. However, once Gravity Arts reopened and Sarah returned to her regular classes, Eleonora found herself without a training partner. That’s when Sarah convinced her to try out a class at the studio. Eleonora took the plunge, attended a class with Sheila – and from that moment, she was hooked.
Pole dancing quickly became more than just a workout for Eleonora; it helped her break free from her comfort zone. With each new move, trick, and routine, she noticed her confidence growing. The fun, fitness, and freedom that pole dance brought into her life were undeniable.
Turning a Tough Time Into Triumph
But what pushed her to sign up for the PSO Switzerland competition? The decision stemmed from a more difficult chapter in her life. After going through a tough separation, Eleonora needed something to refocus her energy and take her mind off the pain. So, in a bold move, she signed up for the competition – telling all her friends to hold herself accountable, ensuring she wouldn’t back out at the last minute. And once again, her friend Sarah gave her the last nudge to really sign up.
As a self-confessed perfectionist, Eleonora threw herself into the preparation with full dedication. She meticulously choreographed her routine, honed her tricks and movements, and even planned her outfit – all on her own. The competition gave her something to focus on during a challenging time, allowing her to channel her emotions into creativity and physical expression.
Fast forward to September 14th, 2024, and Eleonora took the stage at PSO Switzerland. In front of an enthusiastic crowd, she delivered a wonderful performance that left everyone in awe. Her hard work and determination paid off – Eleonora won first place with her unforgettable piece.
Her journey is a testament to the power of passion, resilience, and a willingness to step out of one’s comfort zone. We are beyond proud of Eleonora and can’t wait to see where her pole dance journey takes her next!
